Chief Financial Officer

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial function across the Europe and North Africa region for a leading global program, project and construction management organisation.

The CFO will partner directly with regional leadership and the wider global finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, treasury, project-based financial management, statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and team leadership for the regional finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy, planning and performance management across the Europe and North Africa region.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and management accounts across multiple countries and currencies.
  • Manage treasury, cash flow and capital allocation for a project-based, multi-country services business.
  • Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance across all operating jurisdictions in the region.
  • Partner with regional leadership on business strategy, growth initiatives and potential M&A activity.
  • Oversee project-based revenue recognition and contract financial management typical of program/construction management engagements.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the regional finance team.
  • Manage banking relationships, external audit, and board/investor reporting.
  • Drive financial controls, risk management and corporate governance across the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior CFO or senior finance director-level roles.
  • Must be a Greek national OR have EU citizenship to be considered.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, or professional/program management services industries.
  • Proven multi-country, multi-currency financial management experience across Europe and North Africa.
  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Experience operating within a global corporate group structure.
  • Fluency in English required; French or Arabic language skills advantageous, but not a necessity.
