Senior MEP Procurement Engineer

An exciting opportunity to work for a well-backed MEP Contractor as a Senior MEP Procurement Engineer based at head office in Riyadh, responsible for the technical procurement of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and BMS materials and equipment across the company's projects. Immediate start. Candidates must already be in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical procurement of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and BMS materials and equipment
  • Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, material submittals and approved vendor lists to define procurement requirements and verify compliance with project requirements
  • Prepare RFQs and conduct technical evaluation of supplier offers, including compliance, deviations, exclusions and alternatives
  • Perform techno-commercial comparisons, supplier negotiations, value engineering and cost optimisation
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Planning and Commercial teams to ensure materials meet project requirements and delivery schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10–15 years of MEP contracting / procurement experience
  • Saudi market experience essential
  • Must currently be in Saudi Arabia (transferable Iqama)
  • Available immediately
  • Strong knowledge of MEP equipment, manufacturers, technical standards, lead times, warranties and procurement risks
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
